About Us
New River Fly Fishing was founded in 2007 by veteran fishing guide Mike Smith who began guiding on the New River twenty-five years ago and remains passionate about sharing his knowledge with clients and others both on and off the water.
Over the years, Mike has been a featured speaker at numerous fly fishing events and has introduced hundreds of novice anglers to the sport he loves through his popular on-the-water beginner fly fishing classes. Mike is joined by a team of expert guides with intimate knowledge of their local fisheries.
